Sharon Dowsett
With over thirty-five years of experience as a makeup artist, Sharon has enjoyed a career encompassing editorials, advertising, shows and consultancies. Starting in television, she transitioned from special effects to music videos and found her niche in fashion and beauty. Her contributions have been recognised through various industry accolades, including the ‘British Make-Up Artist of the Year’ award in 2002.
Sharon resides in London and frequently travels to Paris for her work with CHANEL, where she has been a consultant in educational and creative support roles since 2005. Prior to that, she collaborated with Rimmel (on the celebrated ‘London Look’ rebranding with Kate Moss) and served as UK Makeup Director of Maybelline NY for several years.
She has had the privilege of teaming up with some of the world’s most renowned photographers, art directors, beauty editors, stylists and hairdressers, along with many celebrities and supermodels, worldwide. She was the first external makeup artist to work on shows with the M.A.C Pro Team, leading to her passion for nurturing upcoming talent.
