Neil Young

Bio

Born and raised in Birmingham, Neil Young began his career in beauty and fashion as a session hair stylist. As fate would have it, Neil tried his hand at makeup one day on a shoot when the makeup artist cancelled unexpectedly. Then and there, he discovered his new-found passion and soon after moved to London to embark on his makeup career.
Over the years Neil has worked with brands such as M.A.C, Dior, Bobbi Brown and Chanel to hone his craft. He’s worked backstage globally on the biggest shows in fashion including Altuzarra, Balmain, Giles, Missoni, Pucci and Tom Ford and has headed up shows for designers Stella McCartney, Jonathan Simkai, Hache and Noon by Noor.
In 2012, Neil moved to New York City to gain international experience and exposure. His work in both London and New York have given him the opportunity to build a diverse celebrity clientele including Amy Poehler, Dame Helen Mirren, Hilary Swank, Kate Hudson, Sharon Osbourne, Rita Ora and Tilda Swinton.
Vogue, CR Fashion Book, Love, Dazed and Confused, Numero and Sunday Times Style are some of the publications Neil’s makeup has been featured in. He works regularly with photographers Sølve Sundsbø, Juergen Teller, Andreas Sjödin, Lea Colombo and Nathaniel Goldberg.
Neil currently resides in London.
