With a unique approach to his work, strong knowledge of technical hairdressing and a love of traditional barbering, men’s groomer Jody Taylor has become one of the most dynamic talent’s in the fashion industry.
Jody started off as an apprentice at the flagship hairdressing salon of Toni & Guy Mayfair. He then went on to study under Anthony Mascolo and quickly became a key member of the Toni & Guy artistic team. He was soon travelling around the world doing shows and educational seminars.
His career with Toni & Guy allowed him to create window campaigns, educational DVDs, and work on the creative collections for their hair care range. Today, he continues to inspire other groomers and session hair stylists by traveling the UK and Europe, providing customized education for salons and barbershops.
Having built up a reputation for his forward-thinking men's hairstyles, Jody continuously collaborates on editorial shoots for Shortlist magazine, 7th Man, GQ and Hunger. He’s mapped out a name for himself as a leading groomer at LCM by creating looks for some of London's finest designers such as Hackett, YMC, Hardy Amies, Baartmanssiegel, and Christopher Raeburn.
British Hairdressing Awards honoured Jody with the coveted title of Men's British Hairdresser of the Year 2010/11.
