Bio

As one of London’s most exciting and versatile makeup artists, Kelly Cornwell’s passion for beauty was prompted at an early age. During her teenage years, she would study her mother’s vintage Vogue editions cover to cover, longing to be part of this intriguing world. Immediately after graduating from the prestigious London College of Fashion, she was recruited by Space NK as their National Makeup Artist. During this time she received intensive one-on-one training from cosmetic brand magnates, Laura Mercier of Laura Mercier Cosmetics and Jeanine Lobell, founder of Stila.

The next evolution in Kelly’s career included sharpening her editorial skills and developing her creativity. She went on to work with some of the industry’s best before embarking on a 2 year apprenticeship with Linda Cantello as her first assistant. This gave her access to high profile shows in New York, Milan, Paris and London also allowing her to collaborate on look books for Alexander McQueen and Cerutti. Her work went on to be featured in high profile publications including Vogue, i-D, Vanity Fair, Elle and V Magazine.
This vast experience has given Kelly an enviable edge and artistic range that’s hard to exceed. Internationally recognized for her ability to push the boundaries of high fashion makeup as well as execute flawless natural looks, she’s an on-set fixture with photographers David Bailey, Nick Knight, Sean & Seng and Simon Emmett.

Kelly’s star studded beauties include Kristen Wiig, Taylor Schilling, Emily Blunt, Mary Louise Parker and Elizabeth Hurley. She was previously the Beauty Director for Wonderland which allowed her to collaborate on shoots with top industry professionals and establish herself as a respected industry advisor for global cosmetic brands.
