Raised in Ladbroke Grove and moving to Richmond in his teens provided session hair stylist, David Wadlow, a constant inspiration for his work. The gritty inner city landscape of 90s West London and those who inhabited it, were a stark contrast to the suburban middle class environment in Richmond. The dynamic between luxury and street have always been apparent to David and are integrated into his craft today.
David is a fresh, exciting and edgy addition to the fashion industry. His original talent and flair took him from cutting hair at a young age to earn extra pocket money, to discovering a newfound skill and passion. At the age of 16, David left school to complete a hairdressing apprenticeship. After a few years of working at Q cut salon in Kew Gardens where he honed his technique, David discovered session work. He spent the next 5 years assisting top hair stylists Guido Palau, Didier Malige and was first assistant to Anthony Turner.
In just under a year he’s collaborated on looks with designers Rejina Pyo, Allan Taylor, Belstaff and Kit Neale and worked with style icons Kate Moss, Lara Stone, Daphne Guinness and Solange Knowles.
His editorial work has been featured in publications such as; Dazed and Confused, Grazia (Spain, UK), i-D, Teen Vogue, Vogue (Brazil, US), Sunday Times Style and Wonderland.
He’s worked with globally renowned photographers including; Annemarieke Van Drimmelen, Bella Howard, Ellen Von Unwerth, Iakovos Kalaitzakis and Adam Whitehead.
